home... and we even shoot some girls at my place too! :D

I do both. Officially, I have the office, but I tend to be working round the clock anyways. But in our office, we do whatever we want, come when we want. As long as the job gets done. No rules like "no drinking" or stuff. You want a shot of vodka, go to the fridge and get one. Want a beer? Get one. Want a stogie? Light it up baby!
I tell you, nothing more satisfying after the completion of a project than a nice drink and a cuban cigar in the office! Unless you add strippers of course. :) |
Strippers are always good.
All this talking about drinking is making me want one! Got a feeling I'll be getting liquored up tonight! |
I have an office right here in my home. That twenty-pace commute from work to bed can be a long one sometimes.
|
I still have my day job as a network admin, but I do this job all from home... although I really wish I had an office to do this from, much fewer distractions.

I live in office.

I work out of the house. But it's too easy to slack the day way here...

Lots of pros and cons about where we are most productive.
Both Tev and I have offices in our home. When we lived in Georgia, the house was all on one floor and my office was in a sitting room, ten feet from my bed. If I didn't fall asleep immediately, it was very easy to roll out of bed and go back to work. When we moved home to Seattle, we purposely bought a two story house, so we could 'leave' work. I really have to be sleepless before I'll trek downstairs to my office. I love working from home in my jammies and sweats and slippers. I like the idea that I can make appointments any time of day and not be restricted to 'after work hours'. I set my own pace, which is considerable. When I'm feeling non productive, I look at my mortgage bill. That's usually enough to motivate. I do understand, however, companies who want everyone in one place. We have people with whom we work spread out all over the country. Sometimes, the time zone differences interfere and there are plenty of times when being there is so much better than on the phone or ICQ. |
I had an office in a separate room but my kids were taking advantage of that fact. The house was a wreck and they never did anything they were supposed to do.
Now I have a desk set-up in the corner of our family room area in the house. From this central spot I can see the kitchen, dining room and hear every thing that goes on in the living room too. lol Not as many fights - a few more distractions for me - but it's working out for us well. PLUS...it keeps me in touch with time and reality. I find that I'm not as much of a work-a-holic as I used to be. Oh and the jammies and sweats - yeah, that's the biggest perk. I go to conventions and have to learn how to do make-up all over again. lol The webmaster uniform - sweats, t-shirts, comfy jammies, pony tails and comfy slipper socks. Oh yeah! :flower: |
I work from home, an office across the hall from the bedrom..
I agree with Shann, in the winter good to be at an office, the house can get you stir crazy, however in the summer, write your own hours and find other fun stuff to do with the daylight!! |
I wish I was working form the house right now. Its pouring raining right now and streets starting to flood.
