Mmmmm - I could not live without my Tivo.
I dont watch 1/2 the stuff i tell it to record, but when I do sit down to watch TV, its sooooo nice to have a selection of my faves, and not have to watch the goddamn commercials unless I want to! Besides, then I can go do other stuff during "prime time" twinkley |
Great idea! Prime time is so much better out and about then sitting at home. Tivo does sound like fun. It would be nice to have my favorite shows at my disposal rather than a bunch of crap that's usually on. I'm also a big fan of public access. There is some great stuff out there! There was this guy on the other night who was playing his keyboard and singing these religious songs horribly off key but you would have thought he was headlining at the Hollywood Bowl the way he was just mugging to the camera and carrying on. Then he would do these little keyboard flares and fling his arms out and over his head. It was so great. I wish I had taped it. This, my friends, is entertainment at it's finest!

TiVo always becomes my best friend on Sunday - especially during football season.
There is NOTHING on. We get like 482 channels and I swear to GOD it is all sports and news. I hate sports and news. Or really really really bad made for TV movies. I save up a couple of good shows I know I really want to see on Tivo, and when I am ready to kick-back on sunday night and relax, voila! Premium Programming ala twinkey (aka a nice mix of sci-fi and cartoons) twinkley |

OMG!!! I LOVE really bad made for TV movies!!! But they don't hold a candle to the ABC Afterschool Specials. Did you ever see the one where the kid becomes a "punk" and his parents are psychiatrists who specialize in the "punk syndrome" among teens. It was really funny. I'd love to get that one on tape. |
