There is a fine line for women in this industry. You can work on the business side, or be content. It's difficult to be both. Once a woman is "branded" as content, I would imagine they are treated differently.

You, however, could pull it off if it's done tastefully.

I'd have to say no.... don't do it.

If I was Ryan... I wouldn't want to know that there's naked pics of my mom floating around the net... much less a website where friends could go and see her naked... ya know?

Oh, and I can't count the number of times that people have "tried to keep it a secret" from someone and it fails miserably. If you think that kids and people are resourceful online now.. and can find stuff... just imagine 10 years from now... or 15 or 20.

It'll still be out there, somewhere... for all the world to see, including Ryan... and the people that Ryan will know.

Seems to me that what you wan't to be is a kind of hostess on the site, beeing the one presenting "this weeks amateur" ?

Guess that could be done very tastefully (an hopefuly profitable) with a new lingerie pic once in a while and new small bits of "secret" personal information.. that way you could be the unreachable goddes part of the site that made them rebill month after mont in the hope that your next update would reveal just a tiny bit more flesh..

Offcourse i could just be talking total rubish here :D

Surfers wanna see naked and hardcore stuff, but you could easily go around it, making a website of amateurs where you are the sexy hostess, always teasing them and nothing more. Could work! :)

Lingerie shots are great! I think its a wonderful idea.

The pic you posted is tasteful, so I wouldn't think it should be an issue for anyone. Besides, IMHO nudity is not porn. Nothing wrong with a naked image at all. For heaven's sake, Victoria Secret girls are more exposed than you are in that pic.

This is sad but true. Except it's not difficult to BE both, it's difficult to be accepted as both. But that's not the 'contents' problem, it's the problem of the webmasters that make it difficult... the problem of people that look down on women that are or have been in front of the camera. It's societies problem, and some peoples need to place themselves above others for whatever reason.

There are a lot of good and intelligent webmasters that have been or still are 'content'.

I have to disagree, that sounds like more of a personal preference. There's a spot on the net for everyone, you just have to find where. That's like saying surfers only want to see blondes with perfect bodies and fake boobs...we all know that isn't true.

The key to running a successful site is choosing a niche that you enjoy, knowing your audience, and marketing accordingly. There are plenty of softcore sites that do very well. :)

Funbrunette: this is definitely a decision not to be taken lightly. As much as you try to keep things hidden, people do eventually find out - if you care about that kind of thing.

Posing in lingerie is nothing to be ashamed of. Do you think that Kate Moss or Cindy Crawfords children should be ashamed because their mothers posed provocatively and scantily clad? What's the difference?

It's very sad that there's still such a double standard in this business. When a guy posts about his latest shoot where he f'd 3 models, he gets nothing but praise and pats on the back... no one is concerned about what his children may think 20 years from now. Yet when one of the ladies considers just posing in lingerie or nude she's looked down upon? It's really not fair, and perhaps something to think about.

Well Fun B, your mind is connected to your body, may as well make both work FOR you! However don't do it for short term gain, understand the long term affects of your decision. No doubt you COULD do a great job of it, but do you NEED to? What are your goals? Set them high babe, you've got alot to look forward and upward to :)

Thanks for all your input everyone, but there was never any plan that I would do any hardcore or anything that I would regret later on. I was mostly thinking of tasteful pictures and featuring amateurs on a weekly basis. ;)

Since FB wants to stay on the lingerie side, being a sexy hostess presenting her raunchier girlfriends would work. :)
