If you were expecting a new child and wanted to pick someone from the industry to be this child's Godparent(s), who would you pick?

does it have to be from the "industry"?

I'm not Catholic... so.. this doesn't really apply to me. :)

I wouldn't trust my kid with someone that I only know online and through various drunken parties.

Some of the people I've gotten to know in this industry have opened up their lives to me.

YNOT Bob is a good example. I've been to his house more than once, know his wife, and have met his kids.

I know a ton of people in the business where I've spent a lot of time drunk with them at parties, yet I've also gotten to know them on a personal level.

LAJ would be a contender for Godfather.

Fun Brunette WOULD NOT be up for Godmother, but only because she's so damn hot.

In fact, for Godmother I think I would pick Sweetums.

If my only choices were people from the industry there are a couple I would choose. Charlie from Karups has been my friend for a long long time, longer then I have known anyone else in this biz so he would be one choice.

RocHard / YNOTBob / LAJ / DonMike - if women could be chosen then Sweetums / Twinkley / Cyndalie damn.. I maybe would just choose everyone

We already chose someone in LA when our daughter was born, and we made the right choice! :)

Okay, if I were to have a kid (which I'm not), and I would have to pick a Godfather (which I won't), it would be the cool thing to do to pick Jasun because of the above post.

However, I have this image of my kid in a leather jacket on the back of his bike, flipping off passing motorists...
