Actually I figured out the problem and fied it .. Seems like FCP only accepts captures for DVCPRO HD .. which is a Panasonic product .. in order to get HD capture i'm using Lumiere HD .. However I don't like the process and find the steps redundent .. Especially when my final import to my timeline is dv and not HD ... Damn this is getting complicated ;)

too many formats these days for raw video...
