Oh my... I heard it from Chris now I hear from my other biAtch! lol
|
He is the biggest piece of crap to ever put on a colts uniform....
|
Call me psychic...but I'd say you're displeased, Don. :)
|
ya think?...lol
|
It's not his fault. Mathematically a kicker is going to eventually miss one.
There are WAY too many reasons why the Colts lost that game. They choked... no two ways about it. I am however, still a fan. |
poor kicker ... i would not like to be in his Shoes right now.
|
I absolutely understand all your grievances right now..

Years ago when John Carney was with the Chargers and was going for some kind of record, I was glued to the set. Carney was "my guy." (My husband even haunted the sports memorbilia stores to get me his cards for Christmas.) When he finally missed one, I was so relieved, because I was a fan of *his,* not a record. The pressure was finally off him. Kickers miss occasionally. Sometimes they kick the frigging ball into a different zip code than the posts and nobody can explain why. And, all too often, their foot is the determining factor in a win or a loss. The pressure must be nearly unbearable. |
Morgan, I'm glad we agree. Speaking of the Chargers, I used to be a fan of Dan Fouts when he was playing. I'm sure you remember him.
Sunday's Colts loss had so much more to do with the final kick of the game. The defense let the Steelers pass up the middle every time they tried it. They also gave Ben no problems at all getting rid of the ball and when they ran the ball (which was often), they were making the first downs they needed. Heck, they went for it on 4th down twice in a row and made it albeit by inches. The offence was very disappointing too. I think Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne caught one pass each all day. The stretch play with James simply did not work, and hasn't been working for most of the 2nd half of the season. I don't know why they thought it would work on Sunday against a hungry Pittsburgh D. It was just a poor showing overall from the coaching on down. The fans at the RCA dome had every right to be devastated. |

For those of you not "in the know," the response to the above can only be..."Duh." :D (It's like asking somebody in Pittsburgh if they remember that guy named Bradshaw.) The "Any Given Sunday" Rule of Football (on any given Sunday, any team can beat any other team) can be expanded to include: on any given Sunday, the wheels can just totally fall off. Everything can go wrong. The Colts were undefeated until they played the Chargers...and my beloved team didn't even make it to the playoffs. This was one of those game where no matter what the Colts did, they did it wrong. Which is why there are - at last count - 60 million bumper stickers that say "Shit Happens." After having a good season, not great of course, but good, the Chargers are now wondering if our wiz bang quarterback is going to come back from the surgery after his shoulder injury. That would suck massively if he didn't, both for us and for him. Ol' Drew was shaping up to be a force. And now...he's a big question mark. Classy, though. He made sure to state publicly that the hit he took was "legal." No blame casting; no whining. |

Everyone knows I am a die hard Packers fan, you see how bad they did, but Im still a fan. The colts however, I have never really liked that much and the 2 times I have taken them in bets Vander Jackmeoff has fucked me over. Its good that you stand up for him, someone needs to. Doesnt matter how many other factors came into play, fact is, the colts lost the game on THAT field goal and there are to many times Jackmeoff has caused them termoil. Dylan or Ryan could kick better under pressure then that turd wrangler does. |
