My Dad Dumped My Mum's New Harley and......

Broke his leg

Got into Cambridge at 11:15am on Saturday, My Mum picked us up and I asked where Dad was. She said that on Friday he wiped out and dumped the bike 8 minutes from home, got trapped under 800lbs. Two women lifted the bike to get his leg out, not before he yanked on it a bit and then he heard a snap....he managed to ride the bike home and just stayed home thinking that it was just sprained. The next morning he got up to find it was the size of a basketball and Mum took him to Emergency. It was confirmed he did break his leg above the ankle:doh:

Worse thing is summer just started and he is stuck in a cast......

Funny thing I was not surprised at all I am just happy he is alright....:laughout:

good thing he's ok considering...
But that's just like us guys... to say "ah, it's nuthin" until it gets so bad that we can't take it anymore.

bad very bad

Too bad about your dad it definitely sucks to be in a cast all summer... Glad he's ok though .. .but more importantly.. how's the bike? :P

Guys are always doing that... My uncle a few years ago was riding a jet ski in lake ontario, went off a wake behind a big boat and landed badly, he hit his knee on the edge of the ski... same thing.. thought he had just bruised himself and kept riding for another 4 hours. Well turns out that the Cold of the water and the wetsuit had kept the pain and swelling down to a minimum. He woke up in the middle of the night and they took him to the hospital with a shattered kneecap.

Glad yer dad is okay :)

Just heard that a friend who recently moved out to cali got a bike ... not sure what kind, but a crotch-rocket for sure ....

then ...

He proceeded to drive it directly into a mountain. I'm not kidding hahahah the road turned away from the mountain, and he didn't! Needless to say, the "watch out for those mountain" jokes will be going on for a while ...

Broke his collarbone but is otherwise OK .... what a doof

Gotta be careful of those mountains ... they are sneaky!

Ouch. I haven't been able to get on a bike since a guy rear-ended my car last year and his wife ended up on my hood. It really freaked me out, and the worst thing you can do is be afraid to ride when you're on a motorcycle.
