As of 8:00 a.m. EDT, Chris has been downgraded to a tropical depression. Recent satellite images show that the storm is completely void of any thunderstorm activity, with strong north-northeasterly shear continuing to impact Chris. There is some chance that Chris might attempt to re-intensify over the weekend.
