Kid uses parents CC for porn, Parents have him arrested

Ok, working for billers and programs, we all know this happens all the time. But would you have your kid jailed for it?

Boy uses parents’ credit card for porn
April 26, 2007 - 8:56AM

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for stealing his parents’ credit card while his father slept and using it for Internet pornography and phone sex, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

The Crestview teen used the card on five occasions and racked up $196 in charges, a Sheriff’s Office arrest report stated.

He was arrested on April 19 and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, which is a felony. Story
Ok so $200 in charges, most which can be credited. But now the kid could face a felony? Would you submit your child to the judicial system that *could* try him as an adult, end up paying court fees, possibly for an attorney, etc and possibly put into juvenile detention for seeking sexual enterainment? maybe his parents are bible thumpers :bless: Or maybe the kids been out of control and this was the final straw :viking: But I'll be damned...that seems harsh.

I bet he won't do that again now will he. I wonder if they would have freaked if he would have "borrowed" the card to buy an xbox?

I personally wouldn't involve the police for something like this.

"fraudulent use of a credit card" is the felony, yeah.

I really hope that there were a lot of problems before this incident, otherwise, it makes no sense to me...

it really depends on how much the teen has pushed the envelop. Getting too wild there just may be nothing more to do outside of boot camp.
