Message Board Meltdowns - The good, bad and just plain ugly

Catching up since Webmaster Access I found some really bad stuff had gone on the boards and spread like wildfire. I have to ask, can anything ever really be resolved or made better by dragging shit out on message boards? There is nothing worse than that creepy feeling you get when someone airs their own or others dirty laundry and lays personal details out on display for others to judge. And 9 times out of 10 it ends up backfiring on the poster.

This kind of stuff makes me

Not to sound :bless: , sure we use these communities to share, learn, and get to know. But there's a point where somethings are just better left unsaid...

What's the worst message board meltdown or blowout you can remember?
Ever been any good battles :viking: here on xnations? This place, while deviant, has always had a friendly atmosphere in my eyes. It's easy to see, we are all in the same boat.

Its called board drama. Business thrives off such things.

so you don't care if I have hemorrhoids?

by the time I bring something to the boards, I simply want my pound of flesh.

of course, I can't remember the last time I *brought* something to the boards.

Arguement is useless. Any momentary triumph you think gained through argument is really a Pyrrhic victory: The resentment and ill will you stir up is stronger and lasts longer than any momentary change of opinion. It is much more powerful to get others to agree with you through your actions, without saying a word. Demonstrate, do not explicate.

I hate pointing fingers, but I think we pretty much all know what boards are infamous for MAJOR DRAMA. It's the paradise for ATTENTION WHORES. Don't get me wrong I post there too and have made business there as well I guess I just don't care what happens in people's private life unless I know them personally and they are friends of mine. I couldn't give a rats ass who just bought a new BMW or just fucked 4 hookers...lol

In terms of drama here at Xnations I can't remember of any, but once in a while it would spice things up a little...lol I like to run a clean board and when things become too personal and kids, family are envolved that's where I become a bitch and draw the line :)

Now not to start a rumour, but I heard through the grapevine that 12Clicks was trying to steal Chris away from me....Does this bitch want a piece of me?!? *wink*

Threads like this one only perpetuate that kind of behavior. Ignore the drama and don't feed the trolls as you walk by. ;)

we've been "show lovers" for a while. I don't need a piece of you, I already get the piece of him I want.

Business for who?

I dont know too many people who turned a few traffic deals in the midst of calling one another std infected cumdumpsters. But hey, it is adult, you never know :scram:

People can be pretty easy to bait into arguments. For example, it's a fact that the Leafs sucks, anyone who plays Golf with Chris does so for the free beers and not to admire his excellent swing....and it's easy to tell that 12clicks' homoerotic symbolism on the boards is a sign of his true liberal nature and his fear of rejection by women. and I wont argue that I'm an attention whore with a penchant for undeserved flattery so don't even try going there.

we need to be patient to weed out those that feel in order to gain sales etc. they need to have attitude or an aggressive behavior. I remember the times when it was business - simple as that. You respected the other person and if you didn't like them - too bad. The idea was to make money and do it in a way that made others think, " I want to do business with that person ".

for some reason we started getting people who felt that creating drama and shit on boards and at conventions meant, "people will remember me and my company". sadly, it does more damage to your company than you realize.

Despite being Canadian, I plead the fifth on all counts! ;)
