My ride wanna race?

For those of you who know me I was in another life and interprovincial licenced technician, so I did not pay anyone to build this for me its all blood sweat and lots of beer and cursing.

I have had this car for 22 years it has just about outlasted everything in my life from many friend to my first wife.
It has been sitting for over 15 years when I finally pulled it out of storarge and began to restore it.
It took myself and a good friend 14 months to overhaul it.
Here we are today
1970 Chevelle LS6 454 bored and stroked to 528
Dual carbs. fire systen fuel cell, roll cage, dual trunk mounted batteries and too much fast and bling to mention.
Dyno tested at over 790 horepower.
It will lift the front wheels of the ground on take off.
We just had the appraisal done for the insurance company came in near 70k.
By the way I paid 500 dollars for it back in 1985:)
As my father says it will pass everything but a gas station.

Wow! That looks absolutely wicked man! I love the look of old muscle cars, meant to hog up the road and pass everything it sees! Just pure beasts! Great job and congrats.

That's beautiful!

I had a 66 Mustang Fastback I tried to restore. I bought it for $200 and sold it years later for $20k nearly fully restored. I was way in over my head.

Here's a picture of it in 1995...

I currently have a 2004 Cobra. Love it.

However, last week I got into a little race between stoplights with a Nice Mercedes Benz. My car stock can do 0-60 in 4.2 seconds but this guy pulled away from me like I was standing still. It happens.
