Cleaner 6
Any one using Cleaner 5 or 6 here? Do you use the default settings or have you tweaked the default settings to get superior results when encoding MPEG. How long should clips be? Is there any particular reason for cutting up a 20 minute movie into smaller clips, say 5 or 10 minutes clips as opposed to one long 20 minute movie?

Don't use either cleaner. I think the main reason to cut clips into smaller chunks is to make them downloadable/viewable for modem users.

Why shouldn't I use Cleaner? It looks like a pretty solid encoder. If not Cleaner then what and why please ?

Ive used cleaner on some mainstream projects. I like it.

Oops. :bonk: Actually I just use the Adobe mpeg encoder in Premiere 6.5. Seems to do a pretty nice job, but video isn't my full time gig. I've heard that Canopus ProCoder is supposed to be good. |
Big time tweaked... we have our own settings that we use, and I don't even know what they are.
Only our video guy does... and he doesn't share with anyone... which is how we like it :D After he puts in his settings though, they look much better than the default. |
