Just what drivers need...WiFi
Chrysler is going to launch wifi in their 2009 models.
"Unconnect web" will be available starting in August as a dealer-installed accessory and will serve as a mobile hot spot with a 100-foot range. All passengers with Wi-Fi-enabled devices will be able to separately access the service, which will be available wherever cellular service is. Unconnect web's suggested price for the router is $449, with the monthly access fee being $29. Great for the travelling business man, and I guess iphone users, but do we really want drivers on the road surfing the web when they can handle talking on a phone in the first place? |
I could see this if used by a passenger...... Or while the car is off the road.
I know i'm guilty of running my video IPOD in the car during long trips and watching movies while I drive. I quickly discovered it's not the smartest thing to do. |
As a passenger sure - as a driver, only if I need info immediately or sitting waiting for someone etc.
