Broke down and bought a puppy
I'm a cat person... I'm not supposed to do these kinds of things!

Puppies are SO CUTE but I would never have a puppy again. Whippet was HELL on four legs! I adopted him at 8 weeks and housebreaking him was hard... took forever...
I adopted Astro from the race track (a retired greyhound) and I'd have ten like him... The adaptation was SO EASY! And he is so quiet and laid back, he's wonderful. Now, Whippet is the most adorable thing on the planet but still, it was very hard and the house was a mess for 3 months! How it it going for you? Have you gotten him at home yet? Sophie. |

Heh... blast from the past...
Named him "Sizzles"... after the Dachshund in the kid's cartoon "Charlie and Lola" (my son loves that cartoon series and the books). Sizzles is now 15 months old almost... 17 lbs... he's awesome! |
Hahaha, awesome! I'm glad he's a happy member of your family now :) Your kid is going to always remember growing up with that dog.
