RIP my Sony Vaio
Yeah it's done.
I went to fire it up this morning and the monitor wasn't lighting up. Couple that with the battery or motherboard was forcing it into either hibernation or shutting down completely. I'm just glad that I was able to move all my files to the external HD. No rush to go out and get another one either. I moved everything to my PC. I wasn't using it for much else than playing music and watching television while I worked anyway. Now it will get some work before I decide on a new laptop. There are so many of them out there, I don't know where to begin. Anyone have recommendations? I need to run email, browsers, FTP, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, ICQ, etc... Nothing too heavy really. |

I agree with you, but in all honesty I am not sure if I have the time nor inclination to learn a new platform.

Well for now I'm using my old Cicero which is (was) Future Shop's generic brand. This computer was purchased in 2002 and is still very kick ass!
I've been looking at notebooks and desktops, and I have realized I am out of the loop in terms of specs. What's good, what's not... etc. Also, I feel like I better learn my way around Vista pretty soon too. Funbrunette has it on her new Dell and although it looks familiar, I'm a little unsure where everything is. |
i have a 2 yo ( almost 3) Sony Vaio which is about to go......
I think Sony offers the best monitor resolution. RIP Sony vaio. :bless: |
