Songs that remind you of your youth
I just heard My Sharona, and it took me back to some high school dance when it was popular. We also used to listen to "London Calling" in the smoking area. Most everyone thought we were crazy listening to that kind of music. I'm glad I was introduced to it way back then.
Of course... Nevermind the Bollocks came next. :xthumbs: |
I've never heard of it, but I listened now My Sharona and it sounds very good. It makes you stand up and dance.

I heard Jerry was a racecar driver by Primus yesterday and suddenly I was 16 again riding in my best friends 69 Mustang blasting tunes and singing along.
|
Jesus.... Pretty much any 1980s song.
Heaven by Warrant still brings me to tears - long story. Bryan Adams...... |

UB40 - Red Red Wine
I hear that song and I am so back with my friends hanging out at my grandparents golf park hanging out in the parking lot... |
Journey - Leah Salonga
lol, I'm still young. |
Come on Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners
|
Black Magic Woman - santana version
|
Def Lepard -Love bites (that song played at my school dance and it was the first time I kissed a guy...lol) :laughout:
Madona - Like a Virgin Cindy Lauper - She Bop Wow feels like such a long time ago and I'm only 33! :geez: |
Most songs that reminds me of my youth don't play on the radio. I was a hardcore punk from 11-14 then I moved on to stoner and started listening to Pink Floyd a lot.
|
Madonna Celibration - early Highschool years
Anything from Dead Kennedeys and Sex pistols - Late High school Lee Aaron - College days |
There are so many songs that bring back the days one by. Living out here in LA where classic rock plays constantly I am always taken back
|
Nobody remembers Michael Jackson?

Any songs sung by Gordon Lightfoot and Jimmy Buffet
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot and Son Of A Sailor by Jimmy Buffett really do so as we listened to them while sailing Lake Michigan and Lake Huron growing up. Sailing is one of the greatest and most enjoyable things in the world to do. |
The entire pyromaniac album by Def Leppard has some very fond memories of youth for me.
Lots of good stuff going on while we all listened to that playing on a "ghetto blaster" lol does anyone still call those ghetto blasters anymore? :) |
I still listen to 80's music I never got over it. :)
