Website worth?
 

Do sites like this one even come close to the value of a domain?

I tried a few domains and they seemed quite off to me. Thoughts?

Well I checked my high traffic domains and it nailed it right on the head.

My lower traffic domains though were way off.

I'm sure it's geared more towards mainstream websites where the conversion tends to be much lower than most adult stuff.

Also if they are going by google standards then yeah very low conversion ratios.

So I looked at the hun and it estimated 1.1MIL which I think probably sounds right but then I checked a very high traffic tube site and it said 48MIL which sounds totally unreal.

I think it's a good starting point but then one would have to look at other areas of the site in question and start adding or subtracting amounts based on different factors.

Any domain is only worth what someone is prepared to pay. Those auto valuation services only give a rough idea at best imho.

The site only makes $300 a month with 3 sponsors + maybe %50 in PPC ads that i run.

I'm in line with that belief as well. It's tough to put a dollar value on a lot of different types of sites due to the kind of traffic that flows through it.

If it's just based on traffic I doubt it's all that accurate. There are many other factors that determine the worth of a website.

Those sorts of things are always fun to look at. I checked but wouldn't take anything I saw that came out of it to the bank...

That's hard to say. I think the value of a domain is determined by the buyer needs and the seller wants.

Then again if someone want's to give me $190 for Cyndalie.com it's theirs.


This does look like the traffic estimates is off. For one of our sites:

Actual Page Views (According to Google Analytics) 13,200 Pageviews
