Casey Kasem on the evening of July 4 signed off on the final edition of American Top 20, wrapping up the show to retire after 39 years.

so many memories
the top 20 without Casey wont be the same

he was something that I listened to every week when I was much younger, but it's been a while.

for sure the end of an era...

I remember listening to him in the car on several family vacations. So long Casey, We'll miss ya.

I didn't know he was still alive and kicking....

God can't remember the first time I knew of him, but I think he was one of my first names spoken after "daddy" when I was a child.
