Saw this thread on another board and was curious to know how the Xnations crew got their "user names" and do they have any significant meaning ?

Bob'by - noun. abbreviation/nickname of Robert. Given to me by New York Italians that I worked with at an offshore bank. Everyone in the crew had Italian names except me so when I was welcomed into the family I was given a new name and had to give up the old name given to me by my former masters. I became Bobby D'amico, a made man.

Vi' cious - adjective. wicked cruel; ferocious, dangerous. Given to me by the wife of a very good friend of mine who just refers to me as Vicious. I assume she could only be joking because I also happen to be the godfather of one of her daughters.

Bobby Vicious - wild exciting fabulous; dangerously handsome pathalogical liar, great sense of humor, porn entrepreneur and lover of women and all things beautiful. :angel:

Well, My boards names are XXXManager and BoardTracker - which are the two systems I run BUT - that is not interesting...
What is more fu is my real nick - which is both my ICQ nick and my real-life nick as used by few of my best friends - and this one is Pidgin (or Pidg in short)
That one was given to me by a friend. The reason is - I was travelling for quite a while in Papua-New-Guinea, and since no one in the tribes in the jungles there speaks Hebrew or English I found myself starting to speak their languages - mainly the most commonly used - Pidgin..
When I left Papua - I went to Nepal where I met my friend (actually met him by mistake in Thailand) but was planning to see him in Nepal to trek together..
After failing to teach him some phrases and words in Pidgin - he started to call me that :)

Since then he uses that name - so for him I am Pidgin to him. Some other frinds in his circle use that nick - and I use it online cause I love it for the memories it stirs.
