Helo Xnations.

Im looking for a good html tutorial to show someone the basics of html.

Or do I just say fuck it and buy dreamwiewer for em?

http://www.htmlgoodies.com/ thats a good one

I would suggest Dreamweaver as well, but it's good to have some knowledge of HTML.

If you're buddy knows German, Frensh, Spanish or Japanese I can recommend this:

http://selfaktuell.teamone.de/

It's a really, really huge compendium. To all HTML directives they have examples at hand. You can even download it and use it on the local filesystem incl. search option!

I always used to used Webmonkeywebmonkey.com when I started using HTML ... also, if they are learning the basics, give them a good HTML editor ... makes it much easier when all the tags are color coded and stuff ... I would reccommend Macromedia Homesite 5.Macromedia Homesite 5

i learned from a simple html book. giving someone a wysiwyg editor right off the bat isn't going to teach them much. it's best to learn html first then use programs like frontpage or dreamweaver. imho they are meant as tools to assist you in your webpage design, not design your pages for you.
