Ok, I keep hearing the expression, but what does it really mean? Am I a "girl next door" type? Is it a positive or negative thing? :confused:

it's kind of a amature teen type of girl , young, sweet and natural looking.. like the cute 18 yo daughter every neighbor has in most mens fantasies i guess ;)

Not that i have any fantasies like that ofcourse but ehmm if you are that type..call me :D

it means your cute and you look sweet and whoever told you that is attracted to you.

Girl next door basically means "real". Pretty but not artificially so. And it also means approachable I would say. The average guy might think the supermodel type is beautiful but he has a hard time believing he would ever have a chance with her. That's why the "girl next door" type can be so popular. I think a lot of what makes a woman the girl next door is her personality. And she definitely doesn't have to be a "teen". So yeah... You're a "girl next door" Steph. :D

I always consider the "girl next door" to mean "above average looking - to very cute" and approx. 18-25 yrs. old. The type of girl you would see anywhere in public, quite possibly give a second glance to, but would never consider as a model. This is what I think adds the excitement and "reality" to the niche. Making models out of attractive non-model types and being surprised to see them take it off and more.

Girl Next Door = girl I have a shot at sleeping with.

That's all it is.

It means she's not a super model or porn star or super rich or super anything... she's just an average girl like the girls you see in your neighbourhood. She can be above average looking, or below average... she can be average looking.
