You know, with today's budgets and technology there are a lot of things they can do in a new one that they couldn't in the original ... but it's a lot harder to shock people today the way TCM shocked people when it was new.

I actually haven't seen the original movie...probobly bits and pieces when I was younger. I went to Blockbuster to rent it last night and they didn't have it. They had #2 but I didn't get it. This new one looks pretty good though, saw the trailer the other day and that's why I wanted to see the first one.
