Business rules... got any?
 

I'm sure that all of us have our personal set of guidelines and benchmarks in this business. I'm not talking about anything illegal here of course, I don't mean child pornography or the like. I think I'd be stating the obvious there.

What I mean is, are there certain affiliate programs or more importantly certain TYPES of affiliate programs that you will not and never will do business with?

I keep an open mind about the various business models in our industry, and have done business with virtually every type of affiliate program you can think of. And what I have learned speaks volumes.

I guess I'm a "don't knock it till you try it" kind of person.

I have a shitlist of sponsors if you are interested.

We usually only use pay per signup programs for our mailers. I know Chris, CFF is revshare but I really liked the site.

But we've been doing really well pushing amateurs with revshares off of amateurindex.

I don't like pregnant women content. Pregnant women are beautiful, I just don't think their unborn child would like to find out one day that mommy still did bukkae while she was pregnant.

Or women that although I'm assured are over 18 but still appear to young. Anything too degrading (fish hooking after laughing at it seems disturbing more than anything.)

That is MY opinion. I don't speak for the companies I represent.

There's a lot to be said for amateur sites using revshare programs. Revshare for amateurs is perfect for everyone involved I think, because most of the joins an amateur woman's site gets is a "fan base" type of join. Someone who can really relate to the person at the center of the site, so therefore the retention is much better than a mega program with a multitude of sites.

It does not surprise me at all that you do well with them, Luke. However I'm sure there are some that you don't do as well with. Like any site in any kind of program, it can be hit and miss.

Exactly Chris, but we're willing to try anything once. If it does good, we'll keep pushing them. Which reminds me, I'll find out when we will push CFF again.

I sent that site to my friend that I used to visit up in LSU. He said he loved it. He said it reminds him of when he was at LSU. I love the site.

I don't see any moral issue in pushing some material that I may not be into, like scat (is that illegal anyway?). It's more a question of taste. Do I want to spend my time making money looking at shit pictures? Not worth it.
