Dawn of the Dead

I have always been a fan of George A. Romero's zombie movies.
The new Dawn of the Dead is a remake.

From the looks of the trailer, it's going to be great.

Check out the trailer...

Dawn of the Dead (2004) is a remake of the 1978 version by George A Romero. I have always liked his zombie movies... (ie.. Day of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Creepshow...)

He even had a small part as an FBI agent in Silence of the Lambs.

The original Dawn of the Dead rocked. Great movie. I remember as a kid them filming the mall scenes at my local mall when I was living in Pittsburgh Pa. Cant wait to see the remake.

It doesn't look bad.

I have it home, good B-movie. I wonder how the new version will be, probably just like all other remake they do, but still have to see it :bonk:

It opens this Friday... maybe I'll go to an afternoon matinee and beat the rush of kids who will see it in the evening.

Hummm it looks great ! I'll check this out :)

Evil Chris 03-16-2004 05:03 PM

I still remember when I was around 11 years old, a friend was sleeping over and the original Night of the Living Dead was on TV. It scared the shit out of us!

I have been hooked on zombie movies ever since! :skull:

AudreyLive 03-16-2004 05:06 PM

The first horror movie I saw was Nightmare on Elm Street. I was like 8 y.o. and I watched it with my babysitter. I didn't sleep for a month hahaha :)

Mister X 03-17-2004 03:57 AM

On the minus side I see that George Romero doesn't have anything to do with this one. When he remade Night of the Living Dead it was actually a pretty good movie but who knows how this one will turn out. Looks like the only thing it has in common with the original is zombies and a mall.

On the plus side it has Ving Rhames.

And flesh eating zombies.

And it looks like a little homage to Alien with a little zombabie ripping it's way out of mama.

:xthumbs:

Don Soporno 03-17-2004 05:56 PM

I will tell you guys if I like it saturday after I get a "Special" DVD copy of it....hehehe

sexykitten 03-17-2004 09:19 PM

I'd love to go see it, but someone doesn't like horror flicks! I guess I'll have to wait for it to come out in the movie channels. I must say, however, that my favourite all time horror flick is Candyman. I still have trouble looking in the mirror to this day! LOL

Platinum Dave 03-19-2004 03:14 PM

That trailor looks incredible.

I gotta see that movie, especially now that Chris you tell me it was good
