WOW and IC3

Is anyone familiar with the WOW (World Organization of Webmasters) and IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certification) certifications.

I am only vaguely familiar with the programs.

I have been offered a job as an instructor at a school offering these certifications.

Are they accepted as a standard? I know college credit credit can be awarded through the US Department of Education's ACE program for completion of the testing cycle.

The pay is good and they have great equipment to use.

I have vaguely heard of both programs. But I don't know anybody at all that has taken the trouble to qualify for them. Unlike the MCSE, etc. which has the backing of MS, most webmasters are self taught. Maybe a big corporation which is already on the certification bandwagon pays attention to WOW and IC3 but I don't think anyone else does.

On the other hand, if they are paying good... take the job! Hehe.

It would be interesting to find out if they teach linux/Apache or win/IIS in the courses. Or both.

The programs are administered, supported and distributed by Microsoft.

I was really interested if there was any acceptance in the market for the cerfications.

Thanks,

Hmmm. MS programs, huh? That means IIS all the way I'm sure. Probably not a terribly relevant certification for the way things are now. IIS and MS are still bringing up the rear in webserver deployment. But certainly good if you want a job with corporation x and they use IIS I guess.
