Free Site Question

I am planning on starting my own single girl site.

But while I am shooting the content I want to start a free site. I was thinking of a cross between a tgp and mini gallery site and link list. I was even thinking about a rate this model contest where my girlfriends could model the surfer would select the best for the month and I would pay the winner a prize and she would do a full photo shoot for the site.

I am really trying to learn the system and I figure that this would be the best way to do it.

Looking for advice please :dancer:

If you want to begin your own paysite, then concentrate on having tons of content for that paysite first. Concentrate on having things in the members area for user interaction and things to aide in member retention.

Once the site is launched, then use some of the content for free sites and TGP's.

Basically, you don't want to give all your own content away first because then what happens is, their is nothing unique left for the members area. They won't stick around or they will refund because the images they see, they can find for free elsewhere.

Hello Sanger.

Panky is giving you some very important advise which shouldnt be taken lightly.

experience is gained by following helpful people such as Panky is explaining here today. If you have a hour of free time, you might want to use the search tab at the top of this screen and perform a search for Panky .

I think I have about nearly everyone of her information posts printed out so i can always reference from them when i am stuck.

Panky, am I breaking your copyright laws?

Good luck Sanger, I wish you all the very best in what you decide to do.

Have a great day!

Pocahontas,

Are you saing that you want to try some of these other ideas to generate traffic and some cash while you are getting your full paysite ready, and enough content for freebie material?

Panky 06-09-2004 01:40 AM

Thanks Dr. Monaro. Your kind words are very much appreciated.

The more I read it, the more I wondered that too.

If it is, I still wouldn't use my own material until the paysite was ready to receive members and affiliates. I'd just promote sponsors various ways to generate cash flow.

If the paysite isn't ready and you throw all kinds of traffic at it, it's a waste of time, effort, and traffic.
