First major snowfall of the year

Whassup everyone! :)
Well overnight last night, we experienced our first major snowfall of the winter. Looks as though we're going to have heavy snow this year, as compared to last year where we got hardly any at all.

Here check out the live cam from Place Jacques-Cartier in Old Montreal (where by the way, Funbrunette and I had dinner with Raya, Colin, Angie, and some other fine folks from wasteland.com)

Now it's time for me to take the dogs out and do some shovelling!

Sounds cool... I'm looking forward for the snowboard season!

StuartD 11-17-2002 03:39 PM

Snow?? What's that??

Being in Vancouver.... we don't get to see that stuff much, unless we go up to Whistler or something :D

mailman 11-17-2002 04:51 PM

we have gotten about 5 inches so far here in Belleville Ontario about 2 hours NE of Toronto...

Call me Scrooge but I prefer when it DOESN'T look like Christmas.:sunshine:
Wish I could afford Christmas in Barbados.

I was out partying with Dugmor (God) and Easton till 6:30 am .. It took me one hour to get home ! it usually takes me 10 to 15 minutes!

I normally go boarding in Davos or Saas Fe (Swiss Alps).

Maybe I should buy a new board... my old one is 3 years old...

I skiied on the glacier in Saas Fe in September of 1991. I always wanted to go skiing in the summer and so my friend and I did it. What a great experience except that everything closed at around 3 in the afternoon because it was too warm!
We were skiing in just thin ski pants and sweat-shirts...

Vid Vicious 11-18-2002 01:31 PM

EvilIf your up for some Skiing give me a shout .. I got my ski's and only used them once! Just to think I used to be an Instructor, Pretty sad ...

sherie 11-18-2002 02:00 PM

UGH! It was awful! We had our get together and it was a nightmare getting cabs! But the party was a riot!!

wsjb78 11-18-2002 02:58 PM

How did you like Saas Fe, Evil?
It's really a nice place but I consider it even for Swiss standards as very expensive...

I thought Saas Fe was beautiful... it's like this green valley at about 3000 metres and you just keep going higher and higher to get to the glacier. I hope to go back again someday. Yes, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for too. I remember we drove our car onto a train to go through the Swiss Alps. It was gorgeous...

LOL Sledding! I haven't done that in years... Well, my day started by shovelling the driveway out at 8am this morning. And, like clockwork, the city snow plough went right by not two minutes after I finished.
