Yep .. sounds like they could be scouting a location in Canada to have one in the deep woods/mountain ranges of BC or something.

I think a great location would be the Nahanni in the North West Territories... it is vast, rugged, and very remote..it;s day light till midnight in some areas during summer so that would mess their sleep up for sure. Out of all the Provincial Parks in Canada this could be one of the least taken advantage of with probabaly less than 150 people a year exploring it.

I noticed it said that Burnett is still reluctant to shoot a Survivor in the cold weather (ie.. snow). So he'd wait until the warm weather arrives before starting any shooting in BC.

I'm still happy about it though. Way too many Survivors have been done in tropical island type locations.

I vote for a winter show in Canada! That would be a true test of their survivor skills. :D

I agree totally. But that would take away the eye candy factor... whatever. I wouldn't care about that at all.

Eye candy is gone 3 episodes into it when the girls have bug bites all over their bodies and probably stink like fish.

Then if there are no canadians then they should not be able to shoot here....

How does that makes sense? How many panamanians were in the panama episode? Or Thais in the Thailand episode? Sorry, but I think that'd be ridiculous to "have to let" canadians in. There's simple LEGAL issues to why canadians aren't allowed, there's a lot more paperwork to do in that case. It's not just "Burnett doesn't want Canadians".

I know a bartender at a club in town who is trying to get her shifts covered for a couple of months towards the end of this summer because she's filming a Canadian version of Survivor. Not sure the details though, could just be rumour.

gonna have to agree, this makes no sense, plus would give the canadian a slight advantage because they would be familiar with everyhting and if the Canadian won in Canada what kinda uproar do you think that would cause. Canadian Winner, what an oxy moron, thats worse that Military Intelligence...LOLOL...;-)

they want a canadian survivor... do it in the heart of toronto with the pimps / gangs and drug dealers - see if they can survive a night without getting robbed or killed.

The guy who produces "Cops" would have already done this by now...

Personally I think they should have it in some really remote place like Ungava Bay Rather than some forest in BC. They could shoot in summer but it is still a LOT less comfortable kind of place to be than your average tropical island. For sure it would make things like having a fire or not a lot more important/interesting.
