It did that in Firefox, but not in my installation of AvantBrowser.

You know, I think I regret having gone to Avant... Avant Browser does not have certain functionality that Firefox had, namely opening applications by clicking on links. Somehow, I can't seem to configure it so it works properly. OTOH, Firefox was not very good with sound on my machine. Oh well... That's life. There'll always be a better mousetrap that won't catch some other sort of rodents...

I hmm have all cigs and img turned off. tho I can still remember it always looked really fast to me.

Firefox has a different timing ratio for animated gifs than IE does. It makes everything animate quicker.
