The "Any Given Sunday" Rule of Football (on any given Sunday, any team can beat any other team) can be expanded to include: on any given Sunday, the wheels can just totally fall off. Everything can go wrong. The Colts were undefeated until they played the Chargers...and my beloved team didn't even make it to the playoffs. This was one of those game where no matter what the Colts did, they did it wrong. Which is why there are - at last count - 60 million bumper stickers that say "Shit Happens."
After having a good season, not great of course, but good, the Chargers are now wondering if our wiz bang quarterback is going to come back from the surgery after his shoulder injury. That would suck massively if he didn't, both for us and for him. Ol' Drew was shaping up to be a force. And now...he's a big question mark. Classy, though. He made sure to state publicly that the hit he took was "legal." No blame casting; no whining.
