Use dBlogger. http://www.dblogger.com It's completely customizable with an easy to use admin area. Very basic, but very effective.

Many people use WordPress. http://www.wordpress.org There's plenty of pre-made templates available for it, but some of them can be a bugger to use. WP has an easy to use admin area as well.
