Years back, I went through this amazing Rube Goldberg phase of spilling coffee and cola on keyboards. My husband actually kept a stack of spares in the storeroom for me. He'd just give "that sigh" and go get me another one.
It WAS actually the cat's fault the one time I blamed it on the cat. Little sucker went zipping through the air at 90 miles an hour across my desk chasing phantoms - or being chased by them, it's so hard to tell - and my coffee took a bounce. I rescued the mug and managed to show admirable restraint by not pitching it at the cat's head.
