vid makes a really good point. Affliate programs or sponsor programs aren't content companies in the true sense of the word. It is not based on traffic or membership signups rather the content for paysites / secondary producers.
Not that anything is wrong with affliate programs - since many of them use webmaster paradise feeds / content on their sites.
if you want a webmaster approach, then it would be that the manager is someone who has the answers rather than just a pretty face or great personality. Far too often I hear webmasters get annoyed when they ask a question and their rep always has to "ask someone higher up". they need reps that are more than that - they need someone who can help make their site stronger and provide good valuable tips than simply 'toys and prizes'
