I think you'd have more success sending email directly to sales and marketing reps of affiliate programs you want to exchange links with.
Another piece of advice is that you should only exchange those kinds of links with affiliate programs that match your own niche. Yours is a solo girl site, so do link exchanges with affiliate programs offering those kinds of sites. Exchanging links with just anyone isn't even a healthy exchange and will actually hurt the search engine relevance of your site.
There are many resources that exist to help you find affiliate programs that specialize in solo girl sites. Look some of them up, and don't forget to look up *their* Google page rank, Alexa ratings, etc... You want to be exchanging links with the right people.
Sounds like simple link exchanging isn't so simple anymore right?
