I'd feel a lot more comfortable about terrorist warnings if one of the guys making the announcement - the Right Reverend General of the United States Mr. Ashcroft - didn't scare me every bit as much as the terrorists do.

I wonder how much of the decision is political too - but I also think as we ratchet up the war machine the danger of terrorism grows.
