Being in Canada too, i LOVE the phone ones that go:

"oh you are in Canada? Where? Really? My cousin Jack lives ______ (insert town 4 hours away from me)"

Like someone is waiting for me to say "omg your cousin is Jack! I met him before, heard he got hit by a tracker trailer though, that must have sucked huh"
