There was a guy in my grand'pa's village named Hildephonse Laporte.
Hildephonse is consonnant with "il défonce", i.e. "he smashed-out"
Laporte is a family name which means, litterally, "the door".
I never understood why his father had named him that way. In those days, a hundred years ago, fathers decided of a lot of things...
While writing that little blurb, I now wonder if it wasn't the mother who picked up his name.
