People get together because they look to share and exchange value(s).

It goes far beyond simple appearances or money. Many values are intangible. Affection, respect, attention, empathy, a common sense of life, etc.

So your comment, and I'm assuming that the guy is not a flagrant asshole here, is highly insulting to women by reducing them to body and/or money chasers. While many of them are, not all of them are.
