Amy was great, agreed, but she wasn't 19Entertainment material - *sniff* because I loved her spunk and her voice. American Idol is all about creating the next Britney Spears (which they will never do) and advertising for FOX.
I had full scholarships to two universities for my voice back in the day. I however don't have a solo voice - there aren't many solo artists that have a true low bass voice. LOL, I'da been great signing with the Oakridge Boys on "Elvira" though. Doubt I still can, but I used to be able to hit low-E without straining.
I'm actually glad that LaToya is out of the competition as she'd be smothered in the 19Ent environment. She's so much better that the crap they spit out (can you say Spice Girls?).
