Q. Why does this question always come up?
A. When a couple start dating and the topic moves towards sex, people start to wonder
if they will be the first for that partner or not.
Q. Does it matter?
A. 1) Yes if the person asking the question is thinking / hoping of a more longer term relationship with that person and is concerned about STD's
A. 2) No as there are some events that are best kept closed.
Q. How many have YOU been with?
A. Being open about the number of partners one might have had is answered by; "No as there are some events that are best kept closed."
It is also that a man may have had many sex partners, but he doesn't want marriage to a woman who has sex with many men.
Reason behind this I feel that it is becuase the couple may share some nice memories and common interests, but
IF the relationship fails, love is replaced with sex
and experimentation and
IF love fails, you or your partner maybe wanting to be loved and looks elsewhere to be loved.
