One example I could suggest would be when Geo-targeting webmasters. 
 
It could be a helpful solution in selectively targeting by location, 
country to invite a potential webmaster who is residing close to the Corporation 
or Company. The influence can be non existent or it can increase the circle of influence. 
 
ie; A Company may want to sell a franchise of their own brand that already holds 
public awareness by location. 
 
There can be many examples in geo-targeting webmasters.  
 
When I think about Geo-targeting, I see it as being a highly motivated method of marketing.
