Hee hee. Billy and the Boingers were a heavy metal band that was featured in one of my favorite comix of all time, Bloom County. It was Bill the Cat, Opus, Steve Dallas and a few others. Very fun. And they put out a collection of the strips from that time period and called it "Billy and the Boingers: Bootleg" where you actually got a 7 inch flexi-disc that would really play on your turntable. If you click the link from my first post you'll find a site that has the only two Billy and the Boingers songs from that flexi-disc. I figured you, of all people, Funbrunette would be fan of Bloom County and Opus. So yes, to answer your question, it was supposed to make you feel good. LOL!
