Default New Spam Scam

Hey everyone,

Have you guys seen this email that's been going around? Here is the text:

Important notice

We have just charged your credit card for money laundry service in amount of $234.65 (because you are either child pornography webmaster or deal with dirty money, which require us to layndry them and then send to your checking account).
If you feel this transaction was made by our mistake, please press "No".
If you confirm this transaction, please press "Yes" and fill in the form below.

And then there's a box to enter your credit card number in. What the hell is that??? First of all, how do people get away with this? Second of all, does anyone fall for this. We just laughed when it came to our office, but I even got it at home. How messed up is that? Very strange.

Lets just say that practically nobody falls for scams like that.

Of course, practically nobody means that a very small percentage do fall for that. Maybe the number is 1 in 1000, or 1 in 100,000 but if you send it to enough people, you'll eventually catch a few.

Never underestimate human stupidity.
