Anybody Use T-shirts to promote or run a t shirt site?

I'm using Cafe Press. It's convenient and has a variety of different product to slap a toon or pic on.

I use it for comic books I've done like this one:

I'm surprised that many of the people doing just a t-shirt site make as much as some porn sites!

How does that work? Obviously not everything you see there is in stock all the time with your artwork on it??
