Hey Xnations,

So my buddy goes Derek man I've been surfin porn and you know how my old lady is ; she will cuts my balls of is she finds out.

I did the cookies and history thing what else can I do. Im not in the market for internet erasure just looking if thier is any other options I have not yet explored.

My guess is that that would be enough unless she knows what she's doing on the PC.

It's also pretty easy to clean out the cache.

MRU (Most Recently Used) files are often pita to remove (esp in Media Player)...

These are the links you see when you click on File in upper left corner of most programs down near the bottom of the menu that pops up.

If you click the start button, then hit run, then type regedit and hit enter you will get a list of folders... careful fucking with it...

Path using regedit to the MediaPlayer MRU's (for URLs and Files most recently used) are as follows for me; yours might vary:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ Software/ Microsoft/ MediaPlayer/ Player/ RecentFileList
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ Software/ Microsoft/ MediaPlayer/ Player/ RecentURLList

Only way I've found to kill the MRUs for MediaPlayer by hand... For those wishing to automate (and get extra 5% above normal rate) http://www.evidence-eliminator.com/gold Even if you are current, switch over you are just leaving extra money on table...

If this guy is a regular porn surfer then it would be worthwhile for him to download XP Powertoys and install Tweakui. You can use Tweakui to disable MRU files on a windows wide basis. And if you open up the options for media player and click on the privacy tab you can deselect the box at the bottom that says to save the file and url history. On the Player tab uncheck the box that says to add music files to media library when played.

There is no need to spend money on any program to do this stuff. None of them do anything at all that you can't do yourself.

I was under the impression that merely turning the caching feature off on MediaPlayer just stopped the display, not the recording of cache. Wouldn't hurt to still check that MRU in regedit to confirm MP isn't still recording information...

I agree with your statement that most of the washers and such aren't doing anything that you can't do yourself... However, I strongly disagree with your statement that there isn't a use for them...

The ones that do provide wide use beyond the clearing history and cache include automation and secure deletion (and webmasters who are affiliates can get for free) like http://www.evidence-eliminator.com/gold have a very important purpose. I can set it up and click a button and walk away. My time then better spent on something else.

Yes, they don't do anything a human couldn't do, they just do it faster. That's the whole point of having a program; they are just like Excell... You could do a spreadsheet manually, but why on earth would you want to when a much better option is available?

Hey there XXXPhoto: I never actually said there wasn't a use for them. Just that there is no need to spend money on them if you are willing to do it yourself. As far as whether or not MPlayer still collects info and just doesn't display it... how many wives are going to be savvy enough to go diving into the registry for info like that?

Not sure if his haus frau is that savy or not but I don't have any doubts that it is possible and women are as savy (or more so) than men in exploring the less beaten paths of PC... A sharp divorce lawyer worth his/her salt though DOES know enough to check that and slew of other activity on the family's PC should relationship go to pot...

Personally, this fellow's friend seems to have more problems than just hiding porn stash from wife, fact he feels he has to hide it from her lest she 'cut his balls off' says alot about their relationship IMO...

Yeah, you can easily trash system playing with registry... It's definately on my last resort for manual tweaking...

The /gold URL was just a special promotion where webmasters can earn extra 5% above the normal payout; it's the exact same software program as the normal affliates sell, you can just earn a higher rate there...lol... sorry for the confusion.

Also, while what I posted is good reasons to buy it; any gold affiliate can request a free copy of the software and a reg key from Andy... no need to purchase it...
