Default Who's helped you most in the industry in the begining?

Hey Guys,

I was just thinking that I couldn't be where I am today with the help the following people.

People that helped me when I was a lil newbie and still are buddies of mine today.

I gOt a ton of help but the guys that are old School to me that anserewed all my questions before I was established.

In no particalar order.

1. XAMO MIKE from www.xamo.com. A genuis and underatted
2. YnotBOB what can I say that hasnt been said before
3. Sue from couples-sex.com aka thunder entertainment network

I just wanted to say three years later they still offer me support an guidance.

Thank you and I hope I can have that influence on someone one day.

I wouldnt say "get my start" in the industry but over the years there are a few I'd like to publically thank for their support:

Twinkley
YnotBob & LAJ
TDavid
Magick, Sami & John and the entire InsiteAdult crew.
So many more to list! So little time

Much love and thanks

I'd have to say the whole Hirise crew (MikeAI, Stan, Edd, Tim, and others). I started as just a little punk scanning pictures but after a while they made me learn html and then graphics, etc. And now here I am as the Production Manager.

A family member for the financial aspect

A friend of mine, (and my web designer) for understanding the business.

Hungryman for all the rest, tidbits and tricks of the trade.

Claire for (im)moral support

And then, the intangibles, things you learn from the wind: Cathedra, Sweetums, VidVicious, SexyScribe (in chronological order)

But there are also the boards.

PJ, FemaleWebmasters and X Nations (in chronological order too)

And also, experience in a previous life as a photographer for another (stillborn) outfit .

To be perfectly honest.......myself.

Nobody really helped me out.

There were some that tried, or pretended to help me while steering me in wrong directions, but I don't think those guys count

At the end of the day it came down to my own work, my own experiments and my own research.

Back in those days I practically breast fed off The Adult Webmaster

I would have to say Neilski. You don't see much of him anymore these days, maybe an occasional post on Netpond but he worked with me for weeks learning the engines, community, posting on the boards, etc...

Back then the networking side of it was even more important than it is today. If you weren't part of the community you weren't getting any traffic.

Well I would say the following people:

1. Q'on (onprobation.com) was really a deciding factor for me geting into this biz and is a great friend to this day. When I had the opening he pushed me into it. Hasn't been an easy ride, but fun!

2. Lee B and a few others. Always gave me great advice and pointed me in the right direction.

3. All my programming customers. Because of them I am making a little money, word out of mouth is fantastic and I appreciate all my customers who spread the word.

4. People like EvilChris and FB who create boards like this for us to spread knowledge on.

There are a lot of people who have given me advice over the last few years, some I hang with and others I don't anymore, but everyone I have talked to who has been in the game and given me some direction has helped me...I listen to just about everyone

Andy

No one helped "us" out. Not a fucking soul. We spent a year banging our heads into the ground trying to get someone to help us out. Of course, it was different then, and message boards such as this one wasn't around to help us out.

The turning point for us was Tanker. Tanker showed us the light.

Once we got everyone's attention, it was easy.
