hate to say it but he was the uncle that simply wouldn't leave the house when it was time to go.

Yes some players loved the guy (as most fans) - but obviously his style just wasn't working anymore. Blame it on the 'bad' streak in January but the fact remains - other teams have streaks good and bad - and we simply aren't in the playoffs which is going to not only hurt our pride, but also those who rely on hockey as an income. His style of coaching simply wasn't working with the team and it showed. We spent a great deal of money getting out of the playoffs this season

you are absolutely right - the problem is more than just one coach - and pat is probably taking the fall for more than his share of the blame - but it is a start and hopefully a positive shake up in the organization.
