Event for Women in Industry Looses its Virginity

Laval, QC, November 6, 2002 – Cyber2000 Inc. (http://www.cyber2000.qc.ca) in association with Platinum Bucks (http://www.platinumbucks.com) present the first ever C2GT4Her.

The C2GT4Her (Cyber 2000 Get Together 4 Her), the first event of its kind, created around networking and highlighting the women working in the online adult industry will take place on Saturday November 16th 2002, in Toronto, Canada.

The ladies that work in the online adult industry have proven themselves to be dynamic, innovative, energetic, and definitely hard working. This event is basically to bring together these women who have taken their place in an industry that was previously male dominated. They have proven that they can work and play with the big boys of the industry.

“We are really excited to be organizing an event such as this one,” says Valerie Latulippe of the French marketing division for Cyber2000 Inc., “the response we’ve received around this GT has been very positive so far.”

The evening will begin at the restaurant Urban in the heart of downtown Toronto, Canada at 7pm, and continue afterwards onto Club RoxyBlu. As of yet confirmations have been received from both Canada, and the United States. The organizers kindly ask all interested parties to RSVP before November 11th via email to afelli@cyber2000.qc.ca .

I would like to commend Andrea, Becky, and all the others @ C2K who are putting alot of effort into this important event ...

Yes I did say important ... I think it is great that WOMEN are taking an active role in this industry ... and not only on the front end of the camera ...

I have had www.hotwebmistresses.com online long before there even was a C2KGT4Her ... I have the utmost respect for women in this biz ... it really does alot for legitimizing the industry ... proving it is more than a bunch of "Dirty old middle-aged men" !!!

I wish you guys all the best with this event ... and hope it wil gain the kind of support to make it a smashing success !!

Awesome to see someone taking this idea outside of the shows!

We have done a "girls night out" at the past couple of shows - always a big hit!

If you want to do something like this again in January, let me know - womens functions are always a ton of fun!

Good point, but you see this is about business and networking, and the guys just wanna come because they see us as a piece of ass. I find that disturbing, they certainly aren't begging to come because they are afraid of missing an important business transaction.

That's not necessarily true...I actually prefer networking with webmistresses as they're much more open to new business opportunities as well as tend to have a much more creative approach to the business. I also find them to be much more trustworthy when it comes to business dealings. Don't get me wrong...I find a lot of the webmistresses are hotties as well but if I wanted to just be around a bunch of nice looking chicks for no reason other than for the eye candy and hopes for some gratification....there's cheaper and easier ways. I doubt I'm the only guy who feels this way.

But you are partially right, there are plenty of people who swarm around mistresses just hoping to tap some ass (although I think there's more people like me then like them)...it's one of the big reasons why I don't like the big trade shows...it's very hard to arrange meetings with those of whom I'd prefer to talk business with because they tend to be very busy shooing away those just thinking with their dick...

True, there are no events that deliberately exlude us, but look at how many events are based on guys. How many strip club parties are there are EVERY show - at least 2.

Not that *I* mind going to the strip clubs as you well know

But, the point is that these types of events are done with the thought of guys in mind - somewhere to go and drink for free and look at hot naked chicks while talkin biz.

Well, all we are doing is providing a woman-friendly atmosphere where we are most comfortable (with free drinks) and can talk business for a little while

Granted, the last girls-night-out was not held in a male strip club (just because I was throwing the party and I adtually wanted to get business done hahaha) but that doesnt mean it wont be this year or next - but, how many of you guys would actually attend if it was? Not many im sure.

Apollo, I appreciate your honesty and pov, I know that there are lots of men that think that way in the industry, and they aren't the ones that are throwing fits this very minute because it's excluding men for once.

I did neglect to mention that I do personally know and do business with honorable, all round good guys that treat me and other women in the biz as equal counterparts and with respect. If it weren't for these guys, my days in the adult biz would have been very short.

It's very easy to turn the table on a subject like this and say that if men would of done the same thing we would have complained. Well if the scales were 100% even to begin with I think we would have nothing to complain about, but unfortunately even in 2002 they still aren't.

I'm not out to wave a feminst flag, or diss men, I'm just trying to give props to the ladies who work hard, and demand the same treatment in a male dominated industry. I appreciate the guys who support us, whether we say it or not, you definately make the difference, at least to me.

Not to knock some of the parties that have gone down in the past, but they always seem to be at strip clubs. I love a good strip club but most women are not interested in attending those parties, so they become a little biased.
