How honest are you?
Let’s say you move into an apartment and the previous tenant never cut their cable, would you use it or notify the cable company? Now what if you noticed that your neighbours cable wire passed through your wall and you could splice the cable and voila free cable, would you do it?

Would you admit it to us if you did do it? Would really depend on if the cable company offered programming that was worth stealing.
Did you find Internet access in the wall too?

I think it is imperative that you report this to the authorities immediately. Stealing cable is WRONG!
Now, if it was a satellite signal you were stealing, than I could overlook it.

I think my landlord did exactly this. I guess he may have gone out of his way to connect from the neighbor's line.
Shall I report him or enjoy the free cable as I have been doing the last four years?
honestly, I don't give a shit. Those big companies are ripping us small guys off anyway.

That sounds messed up.... but it's probably what most people would do! LOL
I wouldn't take the free cable. The cable company would probably ding you retroactively...

Don't report your landlord, if anyone get in trouble, it'll be him anyways, if you report him, expect ALOT of little problems popping up everywhere all the time

Ok stealing is a harsh word, really all it is, is using the cable, nothing is being taken that belongs to someone else and not given it back. So my conscious is clear!
I live in a new construction, they never finished putting the plates on the walls and I’ve been looking at this damn cable wire that runs through my wall since I moved in. Every time I see that damn wire I’m just wondering if it has a signal going through it.
Easton way to rat me out, I also told you should get that rash checked out, I don’t see you posting that ROFLMAO

I remember when I lived in Boston, a story came out about a restaurant had been using power from the adjoining building for over 60 years without paying. Nobody noticed until they were doing renovations.
When asked about it the restaurant owner said he thought it was included in the deal when he bought it.
