Well this is fairly obvious for me.... It's our son Ryan.
I hardly remember what my priorities in life were before he came along.

Climbing out of the low rental project I grew up in to live in a very affluent neighborhood and not end up dead or in prison like everyone else I knew down there .
Oh ya and four sacks in one game but that was long ago....

There are a few things I'm proud of.
At work, I wrote the complete program that we use (853 pages - Teaching English as a Second Language material).
On a personal level, I believe I have become who I had always wanted to be. A srong, independant woman, I have a great career, a good heart and a great personality. For those of you who don't know, I suffer from chronic depression (my brain doesn't produce any serotonine, has been like since since birth...) and I used to have violence problems, "crazy" episodes, etc... I don't anymore, quite the opposite. I worked on myself and became a fun lovable person.
Sophie.

On a personal level, well i'm always seeking new knowledge and self development, so I can't say I've done my biggest accomplishment yet.
But as far as so far in my life it's my tattoo community site and becoming the biggest community for that niche online in less then 2 years.
I was the right idea at the perfect time. Demand was and is still there.

According to my girlfriend, our greatest accomplishment in life is the aquisition of our new duvet set. I could not love a human baby more than I love this duvet set, really.

Business wise - to survive in this industry for over 12 years and not have a bad reputation.
Personal - to have an awesome wife - child and house later on in years. Living the best years of my life now

That's awesome. I can only hope when my kids are that age, they'll still want to talk to us.

Yeah, I suspect that'll happen here too Jimmi. I fully expect to lose their ear for a few years, but as long as they take what we've tried to instill in them and eventually come back, we'll be okay.

I left home at age sixteen and moved to Cananda (shhhhh, don't tell anyone!) and a year later I woke up in Massachusetts and found myself to be unemployed, broke, homeless, and a drug user. Even at my lowest point I knew this wasn't the life I wanted to live, and I knew that I needed a shock to the system.
The United States Marine Corps was just the organization to provide that shock. Just like my father before me - and his father before him - I signed my name on the dotted line, and off I went to boot camp at Paris Island for three months of hell.
I made it through boot camp and four years of the Marines and lived to tell about it, and to this day there is no accomplishment I am more proud of.
This is Rochard circa 1988 or so.....

there are a few .. the first that comes to mind is Putting myself through college and Univeristy .. having grown up a high school thug, no one believed I'd be able to go to university .. i proved them all wrong ...
the other was to go to univeristy in Jerusalem .. it was a dream of mine to visit isreal . but rather then just visit it .. I went to school there. Payed for it all on my own at age 20
But by far my greatest accomplishment is to have worked in the field of my dreams . to have become an accomplished cameraman and photographer .. something for which I had no support from my family and friends .. No one in my family is in the arts .. and being an artist was a big no-no in a family of doctors and lawyers ... I faught my family and friends .. I payed my own way .. created my own work ... and accomplished my dream of being a Director of photography .. I'm not done yet .. My next goal is to be a Gallery artist ... I've always dreamed of having a gallery opening of my works ... soon to come
Other accomplomishments were to become a steadicam professor, to shoot for national Geographics and Discovery Network ... But my greatest accomplishments are yet to come ...

Luck had a lot to do with it, but being the cool guy on the street that was always doing stuff that the neighbor kids liked, well it helped I think, I could always talk to her and I would always listen

You raise an interesting point. I was GONNA say that communication is important and that you clearly had it. It IS important, but LISTENING to your kids is probably MORE important than anything. I'm a great listener, I think even jackass Chris would agree to that, but honestly, when it comes to my kids, I could easily see myself giving advice that isn't asked for, instead of just listening to them when they need to vent. That's something that could stop them FROM coming to me.
It's always nice to realize things about yourself that can make you a better person or dad.
